Most dermatologists also agree that a person can help minimize skin aging and damage caused by years of being exposed to chemicals, free radicals in the body, and several environmental factors by discovering anti-aging skin care treatment or wrinkle free skin care that can give them younger looking and healthier skin.

With the help of modern science and technology, having a flawless skin is still possible today despite the environment damages the skin endures. Most experts agree that people can minimize premature aging of skin by arming themselves with knowledge about the aging process, its causes, and look for possible natural solutions like going back to healthy living by doing regular exercise, having balanced diet and developing a healthy lifestyle.

But if these natural options can no longer work, various anti-aging skin care treatments and programs are available in the market today. Here are some anti-aging skin care treatments and products that can help you regain that youthful look:

Famous Birthmarks-You Have Heard Of These Famous People

We all know that one of the most recognizable famous birthmarks is the mole on Cindy Crawford's face. Marilyn Monroe had one, too. Not all birthmarks are moles, though. Lots of people have what is called port wine stains, or PWS.

Some people with famous birthmarks that you may recall are Tina Turner, Richard Gere, Christina Aguilera, Tempest Bledsoe, and Antonio Sabato, Jr. Sports enthusiasts might find it interesting to know that the quarterback for the New Orleans Saints has a small area of PWS on his face and Matt Luke who plays baseball for the Dodger's, had birthmarks so bad he had to have skin grafts to cover them up.

So, now you have read my little list here and are intrigued, huh? You didn't know about some of these did you? Now you want to know where they are, because most of them you can't see.

Tina Turner, the singer, songwriter, actress, has a port wine stain or her shoulder, I do not think that it is very big but it is there.

Richard Gere, the actor, has a prominent darker pigmented section or patch on his upper left back. Expert's agree that where it is and what it looks like that it is most assuredly a Becker's Nevus.

Here we go, I know you have been dying to know about Christina. Christina Aguilera, singer, has a very small birthmark on her left lower back.

Tempest Bledsoe who played Vanessa on the Cosby show way back when, has a port wine stain on her arm. You really have to look for it to see it. No staring!

Sexy actor Antonio Sabato, Jr. has birthmarks on his right arm and right pec.

Catherine Zeta-Jones, married to Michael Douglas, has a birthmark on her left shin. I think that these birthmarks are covered up by the people who do make-up for the actors. You just do not see them in the movies they do.

There are many different kinds of birthmarks and they come in all shapes and sizes. Some are port wine stains and some are darker pigmentation on area if the body. Some are moles and some, like what Richard Thomas has on his left cheek are called an epidermal keratosis and it gets bigger as time wears on.

I have one but it is on my scalp and no one can see it. I know when it is going to start growing because it itches deep down on the inside and then it starts to get bigger. It has grown in size over a ten year period from a very small lump when it started to about one-half inch in diameter today.

Besides Cindy Crawford's mole, probably one of the most famous birthmarks, or at least the most recognizable is Mikhail Gorbachev's. Mikhail Gorbachev was once the leader of the Soviet Union and was instrumental in dissolving the Iron Curtain and letting countries like Czechoslovakia be free and independent of the Soviet Union and becoome the Czech Republic. The Soviet Union is now only Russia. Mikhail Gorbachev's birthmark is a port wine stain that is on his head. It is readily visible because Mikhail Gorbachev is bald.

Fade Acne Scar

If persistent bad acne outbreaks over the years have left your skin discolored and scarred there are many all natural techniques you can use to fade acne scar. Of course, there are also a lot of expensive, time consuming and more invasive techniques that can be used also and for some people, especially those with very damaged skin, they may be the only option. But to start off you'd be better off trying to find the relief you want from the easier and less expensive natural methods.

Many of these methods will cost very little to try and you can do them yourself right from your own home. Add to that the fact that they have a high rate of success and you can understand why I recommend starting with the all natural options first and only moving on to the other more expensive options as a last resort.

Here is a list of some of the most common home remedies you can use that may help you eliminate, or lessen, your acne scars:

1. Lemon juice. Take a mid sized lemon and cut it in half, squeeze the juice into a bowl and mix the lemon juice with cool water, soak a soft washcloth in the lemon water until it is soaked through, wring out all the excess water so that you are left with a damp washcloth, use the lemon water soaked washcloth as a compress, apply to your trouble spots and leave it on your skin for several minutes. You can do this process daily.

2. Make a trip to your local organic store and purchase 100% olive oil and rosehip oil. Thoroughly clean and dry your skin so that all excess dirt and toxins have been removed. Gently rub the olive oil over your acne scars several times throughout the day to help regenerate your skin and heal your scars.

Rub the rosehip oil into your skin on your scars twice a day, once in the morning and once at night. This oil is renowned for it's healing properties and can fade your scars over a period of time.

Some words of caution: If you have any allergic reaction make sure to see your doctor right away. Don't start this process if you are taking any type of medications at all, even over the counter ones, without first talking to your doctor. Don't combine these two processes, try one at a time and you have to be willing to give it several weeks before you can really determine if it is an effective treatment for you.

If you want to fade acne scar, you have more options than you might realize. You don't have to spend thousands of dollars and months of your time to get results. You may be one of the lucky ones who can get relief from simple, inexpensive, natural remedies. At least you can give these remedies a try, you don't have anything to lose and they might just work great for you.

Facial Exercises For A Firm Neck

Facial muscles will lose elasticity over time and soon you may begin to notice some wrinkles around the eyes and face. Another problem that you may begin to notice is loose saggy skin around the neck and throat area as this area tends to show age faster than other areas of the face. Many people will resort to expensive and invasive surgeries to reduce the sagging skin around the neck. There are some great exercises that you can do to target the neck area and reduce the saggy skin and they are much cheaper than a facelift.

Let's take a look at some effective exercises to help tone the neck and throat and reduce sagging.

For this exercise you need to sit on the floor and have your legs folded comfortably and your back straight. Slowly tilt your head backwards and hold this position for 10 seconds. Return head to the forward position. You should feel the stretch in the jaw line as you do this exercise. Repeat this exercise for five sets.

Next, stay in the sitting position, relax your shoulders and look straight ahead. Turn your head slowly to the right and have your chin even with your shoulder. Hold this position for five seconds and then return to looking straight ahead. Repeat on the left side so you are looking left and your chin is even with your left shoulder. Hold for five seconds and then return to the facing forward position. Repeat this exercise three times on both sides.

While still in the sitting position keep your head facing forward and your shoulders relaxed. Tile your head to the right side and hold for five seconds. Come back into the middle. Tilt your head to the left side and hold for five seconds, then come back into the middle. Repeat this on both sides for three sets. You should feel the stretch in your neck during this exercise.

For the next exercise you want to be on your hands and knees. Drop your head down toward the floor and keep your neck, spine and elbows straight. Slowly inhale. Exhale slowly and as you do so curve your back downward and lift your head upward. Repeat this five times.

Sit on the floor again facing forward. Tilt your head back slowly and move your jaw up and down. Hold this position for ten seconds then return to the forward facing position. Repeat this three times.

These simple exercises are very effective for toning and tightening the muscles in the neck and throat area. If you do these exercises every day you will build stronger muscles that will give you a more youthful appearance. Performing the exercises every day will start to give you results in a couple of weeks.

Try to stay in a calm, relaxed mood while doing these exercises so the muscles are relaxed and more flexible for the exercises. Burning a candle or listening to relaxing music can help.

Facial Skin Care Tips You Need To Know

Taking care of the skin especially the facial skin can be really tricky especially if you have the most sensitive skin. This can be a problem as sensitive skin gets easily irritated when in contact with harsh ingredients and abrasive objects. This makes choosing of facial products all the more difficult and crucial.

Still, there are basic tips that one must know in taking care of the skin.

1. Never ever sleep while still wearing your make-up

This is perhaps the most cardinal rule when it comes to facial care. Make-up that is left on overnight can clog the pores and trap the dead skin cells inside with the hair follicles. This may cause blackheads and even acne when not treated early. In addition, chemicals on the skin will prevent the skin from regenerating and breathing while you are asleep.

2. Use Sunscreen

This is another tip that one must not forget if one wants flawless and supple skin throughout life. Remember that the sun can damage the skin. It may not be visible when you are young but the effects will definitely by seen in later years. In fact, the sun is the number one reason for wrinkles and lines. It is also the one responsible for the appearance of brown spots, not only on the face but also on the shoulders and on the back.

There is also of course the danger of developing skin cancer from direct rays of the sun. As uncommon as it may seem, tumors can actually develop on the face. This is why putting on sunscreen whether you plan to stay outside for long or not, whether it is summer or winter, is highly recommended.

3. Always keep your skin clean

Although you would not really know for sure if your skin is clean or not, it is always a good idea to practice a little bit of hygiene just so that you can prevent your skin from the onset of acne.

Although some people may survive with only water as facial wash, most people would use soap or cleansers to help keep their skin clean. Experts recommend that people use mild cleansers on their faces. Remember that the face is very sensitive to irritations.

Women who wear make-up should also include toners, moisturizers and make-up removers in their regimen. These are essentials in keeping acne and pimples at bay.

4. Moisturize your skin

Although most people do not actually use moisturizer, this is another essential when it comes to taking care of your skin. This helps the skin regenerate and prevents the development of wrinkles and lines.

Eyebrow Shaping Is Not Just For Women Anymore

Eyebrow shaping is not just for women anymore. More and more men are beginning to realize that the woman in their life likes the idea of a guy who isn't a slob. Many women prefer men who act like they care (at least a little bit) about the way they look. Gone are the days when women were the only ones expected to take time with their appearance.

It doesn't matter if you are a man or a woman, there are some easy to follow tips for eyebrow shaping that will make it easier to get a great look:

1. First of all, if you can afford it, have a professional do it. In most salons you can get an eyebrow wax at the same time you are getting a haircut. The exact price will vary from one part of the country to another but for the most part, adding an eyebrow wax should be a fraction of the price of your haircut.

2. If you just can't afford to have it done for you, or if you are just one of those people who like doing things themselves, you can do it at home too. You can either use tweezers to pluck your eyebrows or you can use hot wax. Both methods work and each has it's own pros and cons so it is really just a matter of finding the method you feel most comfortable with.

3. Another tip you must keep in mind is that you should go very slowly while shaping your eyebrows. If you mess up and remove a big section of one of your eyebrows it will look twice as dumb because you will also need to make your other brow a similar shape and thickness (if you don't, it will look even worse!).

Make sure you go slow and work only with one very small section at a time to avoid waxing or tweezing off too much hair on your eyebrow.

4. Use a magnifying mirror and go to a well lit room in your home.

5. Make sure your eyebrows are clean and dry before you start.

6. Take some scissors and carefully clip any overly long hairs.

7. Next identify the basic shape of your brows. Most people should only try to remove excess hairs that are not part of the main brow rather than go crazy and try to totally reshape their eyebrows.

8. Slowly and carefully remove any excess hairs above or below the main brow.

9. And don't forget to target those hairs that are between your eyes so you aren't stuck with a uni brow! Also, any stragglers to the sides of your eyes should be removed so you can end up with a fresh, neat eyebrow.

I've done it both ways; I have had my hairdresser do my eyebrow shaping for me and I have done it myself and I can tell you… she does a better job! If you can afford it, leave it to a professional. If you can't afford it, follow these tips.

Effective And Easy Eczema Home Remedy-Common Skin Condition

Eczema is a very common skin condition and can take a number of forms and so finding an eczema home remedy can be useful for whatever type of eczema you have. Prescribed medications can be expensive, not to mention they can give you side effects.

You will quite possibly have a number of natural ingredients around the home that you can use to treat the symptoms of eczema. There are a number of foods that can be applied to the skin to ease symptoms as well as foods for your diet that can reduce eczema. There are also a number of herbal extracts that are made into solutions to treat eczema.

There is no cure for eczema and no prescribed or natural remedy will cure it. However, there are many eczema home remedies that people use that are so effective you barely notice that they have eczema at all. You can visit your doctor and ask for prescribed medications but remember that each time you visit your GP it will cost you and over the years it can get quite expensive.

Oatmeal is one ingredient that is widely used to treat a range of skin conditions and it is quite effective at reducing the appearance of eczema. When you apply warm oatmeal to your skin it will help to moisten the skin and it can also help to relieve itching.

Many people flock to the Dead Sea to treat all sorts of skin related conditions. The ingredient in the Dead Sea that is healing is the sea salt and this can be simulated at home. Fill up the bath with warm water and add some sea salt and relax! If your eczema is in a small area you can use a bowl to mix some warm water with sea salt and apply to the affected area.

Honey is another eczema home remedy that you will possibly find in your kitchen. There are a number of different methods for using honey including adding it to a warm bath, an unscented lotion or an oatmeal mixture and apply it to the skin. If you apply honey directly to the skin on its own it will be quite sticky and messy so it is much easier to mix it with another ingredient.

Taking a walk outside in the warm sunlight can also help with eczema. The light from the sun has healing abilities although you don't want to be in the sun long enough to become burnt. Tanning beds can also give the same results so when it is cold outside you can visit the nearest tanning salon to get your dose of sunlight.

Applying ointments and pastes to your skin is not the only way to treat eczema. Changing your diet can also make a big change to the severity of your skin condition. Eczema is not necessarily related to a food allergy, however there are some foods that can slow the body down which makes it more difficult to deal with things like eczema. There are also some foods that have healing properties that you can add to your diet.

Sugar can cause eczema to flare up so try limiting the amount of sugar in your diet. Children especially tend to eat way too much sugar these days which doesn't help skin conditions like eczema at all. If you do have a food allergy then it could also cause your eczema or make it worse so avoid any foods that you are intolerant to.

Although there is no cure for eczema and it may flare up at any time during your life, some simple eczema home remedy solutions can help reduce the severity and make dealing with your eczema much easier.

Discoving IPL Acne Scars Treatment

IPL acne scars is a popular option, not over expensive, and not always effective laser treatments. IPL stands for Intense Pulse Light.

This treatment is usually more cost effective in large part due to the fact that the machines themselves are less expensive to buy and operate. Even so, the results for many have been very good. Another reason IPL treatments are so inexpensive compared to other options is that you don't have to go to a dermatologist to get the treatments done, you can have a estheticians perform the treatments right in their office.

Several medical journals have reported that IPL does offer improvement of acne scars and that the method was a viable option for raised and inflamed acne scars. The study showed the effects were more pronounced on smaller scars. There has also been evidence to suggest that this treatment can help encourage collagen growth which is necessary for smoothing out the damaged skin and filling in the indents of scarring.

IPL can be used to treat scars in a variety of sizes and depths. While most commonly used for scarring of the face, IPL can also be used to effectively treat scars all over the body and those that have been caused by other things other than acne.

IPL is a nonsurgical procedure and you don't need anesthesia during the procedure. You won't need to take time off of work or from your other activities as a result of having this treatment. The procedure works like this: a device, which looks somewhat like a lamp, emits a highly concentrated burst of high intensity light, these light beams will penetrate through the first layer of skin to the underlying damaged skin. The type of light beams used will vary from patient to patient based on how deep the undesired skin condition is. The beams will destroy the unwanted damaged areas of skin while leaving everything else intact. It also encourages new growth.

Most patients will see results after just one treatment, the larger and deeper the scar is the more treatments it will require to achieve maximum results. IPL will decrease discoloration more quickly than it will repair the textural damage of a scar. These treatments are permanent and once you've achieved the desired results you won't need to have another treatment. If you have a lot of scarring and /or large, deep scars you may need to schedule your treatments over a period of time and allow a healing time between each session.

Side effects are rare but the most common ones are skin irritation at the site of the procedure as well as redness, itchiness and occasional swelling. You must be extremely careful out in the sun since you will experience a heightened sensitivity to sunlight after a treatment.

IPL acne scars is an effective treatment that can make it permanently possible to reverse your skin irregularities caused by acne or any other type of problem. It's cost effective and works well so it should definitely be something you consider before making a final decision.

Dark Circle Remedys Old And New

It has often been said that the eyes are the window to the souls, but it's really hard to get people to look you in the eye when you have dark circles or puffiness serving as a distraction. Puffy eyes and dark circles can be tricky to take care of, but if you have them, then it's a safe bet that you want them to be gone. With that in mind, here some tips that will show you how to get rid of dark under-eye circles and puffiness.

Surgery and injectable fillers should only be used as a last resort. While these procedures are relatively safe, there is always the chance of side effects. Also, they can be expensive and most insurance policies do not over cosmetic procedures. There are several natural methods for circles, bags and puffiness, so try those first.

There is an old wives' tale floating around that says you can treat eye puffiness with hemorrhoid cream (such as Preparation H). The theory is that this will shrink the tissues causing bags or puffiness, and seems to make sense. However, it does not work, and can cause damage to your eyes, so do not try it under any circumstances. But as you will see, there are things that do work.

One of the easiest things you can do is reduce your salt intake. Too much sodium leads to retaining water, and this can add to the puffiness under your eyes. Also, be sure that you are getting an adequate amount of vitamins A, C and E as these are vital to having healthy skin. Getting plenty of sleep is also a vital part of how to get rid of dark under-eye circles and puffiness.

Home remedies for these eye problems include placing fresh-sliced cucumbers or tea bags on the affected area. These work better in some people than others, but at the very least they will be soothing, so they are worth a try.

If the home remedies don't work, then you can look for products at the store. Check the list of ingredients for things like horse chestnut, aloe, ivy, caffeine, tea, cucumber and licorice. The horse chestnut will help improve circulation in the eyes and helps to reduce the dark circles. The aloe will be soothing and also helps to hydrate the skin. Ivy gets rid of the fluid build-up and will decongest the area. Caffeine helps to reduce any swelling. Both cucumber and tea (look for white or green) work to soothe inflammation. Licorice is also soothing and reduces puffiness as well.

The main thing to remember is that there are ways of how to get rid of dark under-eye circles and puffiness. No more will you have to worry about people looking at you funny. Try the above methods and see for yourself what a difference they make in your appearance. Not only will you look better, but you will feel a whole lot better too.

Celebrity Skin Care – What Are Their Secrets

Let's face it. We all would love to know what celebrity skin care regime our favourite actress or singer is using. But before you get all upset and anxious, it is best to remember that most of the photographs we see in magazines have been touched up. And if you and I were subjected to a top to toe makeover courtesy of some of the best therapists in the world, we would look like a celebrity. Skin care can be very expensive and our idols probably pay more for their cosmetics than we spend on our mortgage.

So how can you get similar results? Well there is a gadget you can buy which will touch up your photos if you get desperate. I am joking! It is relatively easy to get great skin if you put the work into it.

You do not need the most expensive products. You just need to adopt a total skin care regime and include all areas of your life.

1) You need to eat a healthy diet. Starvation or faddy diets will not give you great skin. We need good fats i.e. omega 3 and 6 to keep our skin in tip top condition.

2) You need to stop smoking and entering smoky establishments. With the latest laws preventing smoking in a lot of public places, this does make life easier.

3) You need to cut any addictive behaviour. Alcohol, caffeine and sugar addictions will stop you having skin like your favourite celebrity.

4) Drink more tea – green tea, oolong tea and other herbal teas are all great for your skin and body alike.

5) Eat your berries and don't just eat strawberries. Increase your consumption of blackberries, blueberries, cranberries, cherries and raspberries too.

6) Eat more nuts including walnuts, pecans and hazelnuts.

7) Instead of salt, add spices to your food for flavour and extra nutrients. Skin loves cinnamon and oregano.

8) Grow your own sprouts. Sprouted beans are not just a fad. They are simple to grow and they are proven to provide more nutrients than a lot of the more common vegetables.

9) Add watercress to your salads. This tiny plant is full of vitamin A and C – no wonder a lot of actresses like to drink watercress soup.

10) Treat yourself to a facial. Ok you may not have a celebrities budget, but you can act the part for a day or weekend at your local spa. Relax and enjoy having someone pamper you all day long.

11) Although most famous celebs enjoy their holidays, take note that they always carry sun hats and glasses. This may be for protection against the paparazzi but it is probably the damage from the sun's rays that they are more concerned about.

When it comes to celebrity skin care, ignore most of what you read. Eating one food all day long does NOT give you great skin. Dieting to resemble a malnourished child is also not a recommended skin care solution.
