A dehumidifier that can control the humidity in your entire house is a bigger unit that is permanently situated near your ductwork system connected to your furnace and air conditioner.

You will not have to worry about carrying and dumping the water from your whole house dehumidifier either. It will have a drain running from it to the floor drain in the basement, or depending on where it is situated in your basement it could possibly drain to the outside of the house.
Dehumidifiers are great for those with allergies or areas that get super sticky in the summer time. Even if it’s not that hot you can find yourself sweating up a storm and nobody likes that.
