Benefits Of 1 Day Acuvue Contacts

If you wear contact lenses, you may want to look into the 1 day lenses from Acuvue. These contact lenses put a stop to using messy solution, as they don't need to be cleaned at all. You simply wear your contacts during the day, then toss them away at night. The 1 day lenses from Acuvue totally eliminate the hassle commonly associated with leaving your contacts in solution during the night, then cleaning them once you wake up.

With other types of contact lenses, you must clean them before you can wear them. The reason for this, is the protein buildup that builds on the surface of the lens. Once you have worn a pair of contacts for a period of time, the protein in your eyes builds up on the lens, which you eventually have to change out. Protein is a bad thing, which is the reason why you must clean your contacts frequently and soak them in solution for hours at a time.

After you have worn them during the day, simply throw them away at night – and wake up in the morning to a brand new pair. For your eyes, Acuvue 1 day contact lenses are the best that you can buy. They don't have any protein buildup, which eliminates the need for cleaning along with any damage to your eyes.

Another great thing about 1 day contact lenses is that they are flexible and great for special occasions or occasional use. There is no need to worry about anything with these lenses, for the simple fact that you'll get a pair for each new day. Unlike the traditional contact lenses, 1 day contacts are an ideal way to protect your eyes and still get the vision you need to carry out your day to day activities.

Acuvue 1 day lenses are also the only contacts in the world that offer you daily usage with complete UV protection. Even though other contacts are great to wear and may feel comfortable, they don't quite match up to everything that Acuvue offers you. For most contact lens users, Acuvue 1 day are the best that money can buy. They aren't that expensive either – especially if you buy them in bulk.

If you are just starting to wear contact lenses, using Acuvue 1 day lenses will be the smartest move you have ever hade. These lenses offer you everything people know and love from the Acuvue brand, along with an experience you will love. If you are ready to take things to the next level and get a pair of contacts that you don't need to clean – 1 day lenses are the perfect pair to start your life of contacts out with.

Double Chin Plastic Surgery

If you have been thinking about double chin plastic surgery to make yourself look thinner, or just better overall, then you need to make sure that you gather as much information as you can ahead of time. Plastic surgery is not something that should be taken lightly, and no matter what plastic surgeons would like you to believe, there is no such thing as a "routine surgery".

That's not to say that everything about double chin plastic surgery is bad, but it does mean that you need to be aware of both the positives and negatives before you seek it as an option.

Cost is definitely a factor for a lot of people. Cosmetic procedures can cost thousands of dollars, and most health insurance carriers will not cover it. That means you will have to pay the full cost. Surgery is not the kind of thing you should be looking for a bargain on, as you should be concerned about the qualifications of the surgeon. The good news is that many places understand this problem and allow their patients to make payments.

The time it takes is often underestimated. People imagine going into the cosmetic surgeon's office and walking out a few hours later without a double chin. The reality is much different. You will have to go to at least one consultation session, then schedule a follow up, then (if you're lucky) get an appointment for the surgery. It can take several weeks for your face to heal, and swelling and bruising are common side effects.

Apart from the money and time involved with double chin plastic surgery, there will also be some scarring. If your plastic surgeon has performed chin procedures many times, then they may be good at minimizing the appearance of scars, but they will still be there; it's only a question of how much scarring and how noticeable it will be.

Now, that doesn't mean that double chin plastic surgery is all bad. If other techniques just can't seem to make your extra chin (or chins) go away, then surgery is an option. Yes, there may be money, time and risk involved, but a successful procedure can make you look a lot better. When you look better, you feel better, and if it takes cosmetic surgery to make that happen, then so be it.

Whatever you ultimately decide to do, it's important to remember that you don't have to live with an unsightly double chin. You have several options available to you, but they will only do you good if you take the first step. It doesn't have to be anything complicated. A commitment to getting rid of it is an excellent start. You may choose diet, special exercises or even double chin plastic surgery, but the main thing is that you're doing something.

Acne – Getting Rid Of Acne Scars

Whenever body suffers any injury, the body rushes its soldiers to protect itself. Acne infection is also an injury that needs repair and body sends white blood cells and other molecules that fight the infection and repair the infected site. After the repairing job is completed, a scar forms that is the sign of repair. Skin never becomes as smooth as it was before the acne. Some scar is always left. Let us find out more about acne scars and how doctors can repair them so that you get something similar to your earlier look again.

Types Of acne scars

Before we discuss about the type of scars, let us also note that everyone has different tendency of scar formation. Some people develop very less scars, while others may have major scars for the same type of acne.

Acne scars are of two types- scars that are caused by loss of tissue and scars caused by increased tissue formation.

Depressed Scars

These scars may be of different types such as Ice-pick scars, depressed fibrotic scars, soft scars and macular types. As the cyst expands with pus, bacteria, oil and dead skin cells it ruptures and attacks the dermis. to protect the dermis the white blood cells rush in. This rupture may cause loss of collagen giving rise to deep recess or depression. The skin above is left unsupported because of loss of tissue below it and a saucer shaped or jagged ice pick scar is formed. Ice pick scars are more common on face.

Keloids

In some people the scar forms in a reverse fashion. With the loss of collagen, body triggers fibroblasts that produce excessive collagen producing scar tissues called keloids. Keloids are more commonly found on male torsos. Other type of increased tissue formation scar is called hypertrophic scar. Hypertrophy means overgrowth.

Scar Treatment

Scars can be treated by your dermatologist using different treatments. Before proceeding for scar treatment, you have to discuss your feelings about the scars with your doctor. The cost involved may also play a role in choosing the treatment. What results you desire is the third factor.

The severity of the scar, the location and type of treatments that can be done are other factors that have to be used to treat acne scars. The common treatments for acne scars are- collagen treatment, laser treatment, dremabrasion, microdermabrasion, skin surgery, skin grafting etc. Keloids may be left untreated if it is felt that treatment will form further keloids.

Injecting with steroid injections may also treat keloids.

All About Contact Lenses

As most of us know, contact lenses are the best alternative to glasses. They are small, plastic shaped discs that are made to correct eyesight problems like nearsightedness, astigmatism, farsightedness, and other problems. Contact lenses are also used by those who have had cataract surgery, as they can help the eyes to heal a bit faster.

Contacts are used in the eye, where they will float above a sea of tears that rest in front of the cornea. You should always go to a doctor to be fitted, as the proper fitting and design is very important for safety, comfort, and the accurate vision. If you don't get fitted for your contacts, you could very well get a pair of contacts that could damage your eyes.

There are several types of contact lenses available in two main types – hard contact lenses and soft contact lenses. The hard contact lenses include gas permeable and the conventional hard lenses. Soft contact lenses include daily wear, extended wear, and disposable wear. These are all great contacts, although you should check with your optician to see what he recommends.

If you are just starting to wear hard contact lenses or have thought about them in the past, you'll need a 2 – 4 week break period, where you will gradually wear the contacts longer and longer with each passing day. Soft contacts on the other hand, will take less time to get used to, as most people who wear them can break them in a few days.

Contact lenses, as we all know, have many different uses. They are mainly used to correct vision, although they can also be used for those who have just had cataracts, especially if the natural lens around was removed. Contacts can also be used in the treatment of various eye diseases, and scars on the cornea that have been caused by infections or injury.

Contact lenses are a great choice for those who have active lifestyles, such as athletes. They won't fall off like glasses when you run, nor do they hang off your face or fog up. They also offer you a full field of vision as well, which is great for sports. The lens and focus is the same as glass, meaning that you will get the same vision from contacts as you would with a pair of glasses.

A lot of people who have vision problems consider getting Lasik eye surgery to fix their vision problems so that they won't have to wear glasses or contacts. On the flip side, there are several risks and problems associated with this procedure, besides the fact that it is very expensive. Contact lenses aren't expensive, and they are a safe alternative to vision correction.

For several years, contact lenses have been an ideal way to correct your vision. They are more popular than glasses, and they won't limit what you can and can't do. Contacts fit snugly in your eyes and they won't make you feel out of place. You can wear them with any type of clothing you desire – as it is very hard to tell if someone is wearing them or not.

A Look At Fillings

Fillings are very common with dental work, as they present a way to repair a tooth that has suffered from decay or a cavity back to it's original shape. When performing a filling, the dentist will remove the decayed area of the tooth, clean around it, then fill in the area that he has removed with a special material that will cater to the shape and form of the tooth.

Fillings work by closing out the area where the bacteria enters into teeth, helping to prevent any type of decay in the future. The materials used for fillings include porcelain, gold, composite resin, and amalgam. There is really no best type of filling, as several factors come into play. Your reaction to different material, the shape of the tooth, extent of repair, and where the filling is needed will be determining factors as to what material is used with your filling.

The gold fillings that are used are made in a laboratory, then cemented into place by the dentist. Gold material fits well with the gums, and can last you for many years. Gold is considered by many to be the best, although it is also the most expensive and will require you to visit the dentist several times before the filling will be complete.

Silver fillings on the other hand, are less expensive than gold materials and they can be quite resistant to wear. With their color being dark, they are easier to notice than composite or porcelain fillings, and aren't recommended for visible areas of the mouth, especially the front teeth. Composite fillings are a common type of material, as they match the color of your teeth. The material that makes up the composite filling is mixed then placed directly in the cavity, where it hardens. They last several years, although composite isn't recommended for large cavities, or areas where they may chip.

The final type of filling is porcelain. Porcelain is very common, and produced in lab where it will be matched to your teeth then bonded to the affected tooth. Porcelain fillings match the color of your teeth, and are resistant to any type of staining. The costs for porcelain fillings can be very expensive, some costing as much as gold fillings.

If a cavity, decay, or even a crack has managed to damage a large area of the tooth, you may need a crown or a cap. If the decay has managed to get to the nerve, you may end up needing a root canal to get rid of the dead pulp. When the dentist decides he can fill your tooth, he will remove the cavity then fill the hole with a material listed above. Depending on your insurance and what you can afford, you can choose which one you want or take his recommendation. In most cases, porcelain or composite fillings will be recommended. Gold fillings are popular, although most people want a filling that will match the natural color of their teeth.

Acne: Fact And Fiction

Myths about acne die hard. Old wives' tales about its causes continue to persist, in spite of scientific condition to the contrary.
This article aims to shed light on some common myths about acne and attempts to separate fact from fiction.

Myth 1: People who have acne are unclean and maintain poor hygiene

There is absolutely no truth to this statement. Acne is caused by a hormonal imbalance in the body. When the oil glands responsible for keeping our skin waterproof and moist, over react to produce excessive quantities of sebum, they block the associated hair follicle, causing clogged pores, which develops into acne. So hygiene has absolutely nothing to do with it. In fact unnecessary scrubbing of the skin can exacerbate the problem. Do take care of your skin though – wash your face gently and pat dry.

Myth 2: Eating the wrong foods will lead to acne

The fact is that there is no co-relation between what you eat and acne. The chocolates, the French fries, the cheese pizza, and all those other fatty foods that have been lambasted ever so often, because of their unhealthy consequence have no affect whatsoever on your skin. However, eating a well balanced diet makes sense. So while you don't have to be concerned as to whether your favorite treat affects your skin (at least directly), do remember that it does affect your overall health.

Myth 3: Acne is caused by stress

The truth is that the stress that most of us experience as part of our day-to-day existence does not lead to acne. Sometimes, acne can arise as the side-effect of drugs taken to treat severe stress. Talk to your doctor to find out if your stress medication is responsible for your acne. Stress can however make an already existing acne condition worse.

Myth 4: Acne is a merely a cosmetic disease

Well, acne does affect the way you look and yes, it is considered a threat to your physical well being. However, the fact remains that in some cases acne can lead to permanent scarring which is more than just purely cosmetic. Acne affects people psychologically. It is known to affect their perception of themselves, their self-esteem and confidence and their interaction with others. It can cause feelings of frustration, depression and social embarrassment.

Myth 5: Acne can not be cured

With the kind of products that are available in the market today, there is no reason why anyone should have to suffer the agony caused by acne. The fact is that acne can be cleared up with the right medication and a regime specific to their needs. Consult your dermatologist if you have acne.

Is In-Office Teeth Whitening Right For You

If you are looking for the quickest way to whiten the teeth, then you may want to consider the in-office whitening. Under this procedure the whitening product, like the gel is applied to the teeth. And when used under the dentist-supervised procedure, this form of bleaching is used as complemented by a special light or the laser. In many cases, in just one visit the expected results can be seen immediately. But if the intent is to get that dramatic results in the form of shiny white teeth, then the person will need a number of visits to the dentist. And each of these visits will tend to lasts from 30 to 60 minutes. For a clearer picture on how the process is done, the following is the listing of the step-by-step procedure of this teeth whitening procedure.

* The first step is the polishing of the teeth with the use of the pumice. The polishing action is important as this will remove the plaque and dirt found at the surface of the teeth.

* The mouth will then be isolated with the use of the gauze. This is a necessary step so that the teeth will be dry for the rest of the procedure. There will be times when the retractors will be used as well, and this is important so that your lips and tongue will not get in contact with the whitening agents incorporated in the solution.

* Next up is the addition of the barrier on the gum line. This is done so that the whitening solution will not get in contact with the gum area.

* After this is done, the teeth will then be coated with the whitening formulation, and the coating will cover the surface of the teeth. And depending on the attending dentist, the formulation may contain the hydrogen peroxide or the carbamide peroxide. Either way, it can be expected that the whitening effect can be achieved. There are some cases when light or the laser will be used. The light will act as the heating agent that will be used to activate the peroxide content in the whitening formulation. The said whitening agent or formulation will then be allowed to stay on the teeth for the next 30 to 60 minutes. Again, the longevity of the process will ultimately depend on the manufacturer of the product or the whitening formulation.

* The moment that the intended shade of white has been achieved, then the teeth will be rinsed with water. And the use of toothpaste will be recommended. This is needed so that the person will not experience sensitivity.

Listed below are the basic steps that are performed by the dentist in relation to in-office teeth whitening. And after the procedure has been completed, then that is the time that the dentist may recommend some healthy eating habits. Or the dentist may recommend some eating habits. For example, you may be asked to avoid food items that are rich in pigment like coffee and tomato sauce.

Dehumidifier Rentals

If your carpet gets wet for any reason, even if you use a carpet cleaner to clean it, you should do all you can to get it as dry as you can in the shortest amount of time. Check on dehumidifier rentals at your local hardware store if you do not own one yourself. If you just let the carpet dry on it's own you could be encouraging mold to form and grow in and under the carpet.

The moisture basically gets trapped in the fibers and backing of the carpet and then will attract mold spores and dust mites who love that type of environment. Carpet should be completely dried within 48 hours of becoming wet, according to the Department of Health.

Soak up as much as you can with towels and then use a wet/dry vacuum to suck up some additional moisture. A wet/dry vacuum should be able to pull a lot of moisture up from the backing as well. If you do not have one of these you can rent one when you check out dehumidifier rentals.

You could open the window for a while but if there is any amount of humidity in the air outside all you will do is prolong the drying time for your carpet. Your best bet is to leave the doors and windows closed, run some fans on high and run a dehumidifier and even your air conditioner. The circulating air will draw moisture out as well.

You can also rent an industrial powered fan that will dry your carpet quickly but they are incredibly loud and since you have to communicate with the other people who live in your house this may not be a good option unless you can run it while no one is at home.

When the carpet is dry to the touch then sprinkle it with some baking soda to absorb the little bit of moisture that could be lingering. After the baking soda has been on the carpet for thirty minutes then vacuum it up and your carpet should be in tip top shape.

Keep running the dehumidifier for a few days just to be sure that everything is dry and stays that way. Just make sure to check it frequently and empty the collection bucket as needed so you do not have another mess to clean up.

There are mold resistant carpets you can buy and if you did, then, though you still need to dry your carpet quickly because you want to be able to walk on it, you may not have to do any more than run a fan or two on high and a dehumidifier to get the job done. Mold will not start invading the underside of your carpet.

Rental places have all sorts of everyday items you can rent for a fee. All those things we talked about and a lot more. So if you do not have the budget to buy your own dehumidifier then maybe you should find out about dehumidifier rentals.

Double Chin Exercises

Having the perfect body is one of those unrealistic desires that is constantly thrust upon us by the media. They show us images of buff bodybuilders and skinny supermodels then act as though such people are the norm, but let's get real! All you really want is to look better and maybe drop a few pounds. Having fat around your neck and chin is unsightly, but the good news is that there are some double chin exercises that can help.

Before we get started, you need to know that there are two main types of double chin exercises: those that directly target the chin and surrounding areas, and those that reduce overall fat. The first type work to strengthen and tone the underlying muscles, and the second type help to get rid of the fat. The reason overall fat loss is important to getting rid of a double chin is that you can't simply burn fat in one specific location; instead, your body chooses where you will lose fat first, and that may or may not be in your chin.

It's important to exercise your neck because it helps to support the chin. A simple and effective exercise for strengthening the neck is shoulder shrugs. Simply stand up with your spread at a comfortable distance. Put a dumbbell in each hand (don't make it too heavy if it's been a while since you've exercised) and hold your arms down by your sides. Now slowly shrug your shoulders as high as you can get them and hold that position for one to three seconds. Slowly lower your arms back to their starting position. Do three sets of ten repetitions each. Double chin exercises don't get much easier than this.

You can also do a chin stretch, which some people find to be relaxing. Slowly tilt your head backwards as far as it safely goes (don't overdo it!). Then slowly open and close your mouth. You should feel you chin and neck stretch each time your mouth closes. Three sets of twenty reps should give you the results you're looking for.

The other double chin exercises are those that help you to lose fat all over your body. Aerobic exercises burn the most calories while you are doing them and give you faster results. These are the types of exercises that make you breathe heavier, make you sweat and get your heart pumping. The other type of exercise is resistance training which builds muscle. The cool thing about muscle is that it burns calories even while you're at rest. Aerobic and resistance exercises each have their benefits, so be sure to do both of them.

As you can see, double chin exercises come in several forms. The more of them you do, the faster you will see the results that you want. Of course there are many more exercises than the ones we have covered here, so don't limit yourself to these few.
