Many people believe that a few drinks will help them to sleep better when in fact it will help a person fall asleep but it will not help to keep them asleep. Way too often those few nightcaps can cause a person to wake several times during the night and further lead to feeling sluggish, disorientated, and have a lack of concentration the next day. Unfortunately, this can lead to a very unhealthy pattern. Contrary to what many might think alcohol and insomnia do not mix at all. In the same position, keep your head facing forward and keep your shoulders relaxed. Tilt your neck to the right side. Hold for the count of five. Do this to the left side. Do this for both sides for three sets. You will feel the stretch in the neck areas.

While still on the floor, switch to the position of being on your hands and knees. Drop your head towards the floor keeping your neck, spine, and elbows straight. Inhale slowly. As you exhale slowly, curve your back downward while lifting your head upwards. Repeat these five sets.

Sitting on the floor in a comfortable position face forward. Tilt your head backwards slowly. Move your jaw up and down. Hold this position for the count of ten. Return to facing forward. Do this for three sets.

Use these exercises to tone and tighten the muscles in your neck and throat. Do them every day to build stronger muscles to create a younger appearance. You will see results with a few weeks when you are dedicated to performing the exercise daily.

1. Some women, I have found, use their concealer almost as a primer for the eye lid before applying any type of eye color. Concealer apparently can work to keep things looking smooth and even give you a softer eye look along with hiding those dark circles under your eye.

1. While doing your eyes, use earthier tones instead of bright colors and use the lighter of the three colors to highlight on your upper brow bone area. This will make your eyes seem more open and give you an instant eye lift.

2. Use less eyeliner on your lower eye lids and blend the eyeliner you use on your upper eye lids. Or do not use any on your lower eye lids especially for a nice clean day or playful look. Do this step only for when you go out at night.

3. Use the same highlighter color you used on your brow bone to highlight just under your cheek bones and under your neck. Just brush and blend evenly to make it look natural.

4. Stop using powders that can cake in the problem areas, as well.

So, if you are approaching the age of 50, and are noticing more of those fine lines around your eyes and mouth or have noticed that your skin is not as firm as it used to be, you may want to think about making some changes to your morning routine and learn a few new techniques to use when putting on your face every day.

3. Sleep Right – People need the right amount of sleep to retain a calm, restive demeanor. If you have noticed, you are usually a lot crankier and anxious the day after you pull an all-nighter. This is because sleep is a necessity for good health – physically, emotionally, and psychologically.

Not only is the amount of sleep important, but the regular schedule for it as well. If possible keep your sleep patterns regular, as an irregular pattern can cause an undue amount of stress and anxiety.

4. Eat Right – The body needs certain nutrients to keep itself healthy. Not only does it need these nutrients for energy and building processes, it also needs certain nutrients to keep the chemical balance in the body at normal rates.

Acne Scarring 101

When acne heals or when treated by a dermatologist, there are some instances when it will leave some scarring on skin. This is especially true with acne that appears on the later stages of life. Adult skin does not have a store of collagen that helps the skin heal and regenerate. Scarring may also occur when the acne is quite severe. This is because the problem is more intensive, cutting through the skin with more depth than what is usually seen with acne that are only on the surface.

A scar may initially appear as reddish in appearance. After a white, when the skin heals and try to regenerate, the scar will become lighter, sometimes turning white, several shades lighter than the skin tone. They are angularly shaped, almost similar to the ones gotten in chicken pox. They can be either superficial or deep depending on the severity of the acne condition. The rolling scar, on the other hand, is the kind that gives the skin a wave-like appearance.

Scarring can actually be treated depending on the severity of the scarring problem, your skin type and of course the type of scars that you have. Sometimes, the location of the scars will also affect the treatment. Often, scarring at the back and at the chest are more difficult to treat compared to those found on the face.

There are a lot of treatment procedures available for scarring such as corticosteroid injections and cryosurgery. Surgical procedures may also be done to remove the scarring as well as x-ray therapy.
