The general concept behind the diet is that you build on a foundation of basic foods, while going through a series of progressive phases. Each phase is designed to move you from craving unhealthy foods to enjoying the foods that result in weight loss. Here are just a few of the foods that you can eat during the initial phase of the program: eggs, chicken, cheese, beef, nuts, turkey, vegetables and fish. The only small catch is that you should cut out sweets, but you will be eating so many other good things that you shouldn't have any issues with it. Another interesting thing they suggest is eating a garden, but to use olive oil (with nothing else) as the dressing.
One thing to keep in mind about this plan is that you are teaching your body to stop craving sweets and other unhealthy foods, and that you won't be depriving yourself while you are doing it. See, one of the biggest problems with other diets is that you always seem to feel hungry. But with the South Bach Diet Phase 1, you will be eating three full meals each day. On top of that you get to enjoy snacks in between those meals (tea and coffee are also permitted). Most people agree that any diet that allows you to eat tasty food without feeling hungry would be one that is both effective and easy to stick to.
