Losing Body Fat – Time For Inches

You are not alone, you wish there were quick ways to losing body fat but you know that there really aren't. Unless all you have to lose is ten pounds, losing weight will take some time.
Think about it, if you were to start today and you completely committed yourself to losing all the extra weight you are carrying and you lost 2 pounds a week for one year, you could be down 104 pounds and probably to your desired weight.

Shoot, it can't be that difficult to lose two pounds a week can it? I don't think so. There are some things you can do to give yourself an initial boost when you first start losing body fat like staying away from carbs for the first two weeks. You will not be able to sustain this or any other type of restrictive diet for more than two weeks, by the way, because your body will start to crave whatever you are not giving it.

Then, when you do start eating it again you will probably binge on it and ruin whatever start you gave yourself in the first place. So remember, no, or very low, carbs for the first two weeks max. Then reintroduce them slowly, one at a time and then only in moderation. Doing this will help you reset your glycemic index and shut down the insulin pump that is helping to keep the weight on around your middle.

Do you have a lot of stress in your life? One of the best things you can do for yourself is to first learn how to reduce that stress. I doesn't doesn't matter how you do this, just do it. Exercise can help but if you simplify your life and get rid of some stress first it will give you more motivation and make you feel more like exercising to begin with. Learn some relaxation techniques to do every morning and at other times throughout your day.

Stress causes your body to release a hormone called cortisol. Cortisol gathers fat around your middle and keeps it there. Putting you at risk for heart disease and high blood pressure. Reducing the stress in your life reduces the production of Cortisol and therefore, it would stand to reason, reduces the fat around your middle.

Healthy eating is a good way to lose weight, too. You might just be surprised to find out how positively your body responds when you start giving it good healthy food instead of all the processed crap we have available to us today. Even if you cannot get away from the processed stuff completely, just significantly reducing the amount you take in every day can and will make your weight loss goals easier to come by.

Making an effort to eat healthier, getting some regular exercise and reducing the stress in your life is probably the best recipe for losing body fat that you can get. So remember, two pounds a week for a year and you will be where you want to be.
