Do you want to lose fat fast? Most people do! Anybody would want to lose some fat who is overweight or just lacking in tone in certain areas. But how you set about this depends on what your problem is.

If you are overweight or obese…

If you are overweight or obese, then it is important to concentrate on losing that extra weight. Of course, you want to lose fat and not muscle, so it is a good idea to have some kind of an exercise program. But how much you can do depends on your physical condition. It is important to see a doctor to have this assessed and find out what level of exercise would be safe for you.

As you begin to lose weight, you will see the fat starting to disappear. The more you are able to exercise, the more successful you will be in your aim to lose fat fast. But in order to avoid injury it is best to build up an exercise program slowly. If you are not used to exercise, you might want to start with 10-20 minutes of walking each day, and gradually increase from there.

The body will naturally become more toned as you lose weight. When you are beginning to notice results, you may want to do specific exercises to firm up the abs, hips, thighs or whatever area most bothers you.

Exercises for the core (back and abs) are especially good for releasing fat from around the organs in the body, which makes them healthier. You may not be able to see the results from these exercises if you are still carrying a lot of excess weight around the middle of the body, but that does not mean that they are not having an effect. Your abs may be nice and tight but if they are still covered with a layer of fat, their tone will not be visible. Keep on working to lose fat fast and those rock hard muscles will stand out as the fat disappears.

If you are normal weight or underweight…

If your weight is normal, but you have a muffin top, spare tire or other patches of fat, then you probably do not need to be concerned about your diet.

If you want to build muscle as well as lose fat fast, consider adding a protein shake to your diet and reduce any food that you eat that is both high fat and high carb (e.g. pizza, chocolate, French fries, burgers in buns, donuts, cookies, etc.). This will help your body to tone up fast.

If you are under the ideal weight band for your height, try to stop thinking about how to lose fat fast and simply build up your muscles a little. Fat is not your problem and you will easily be able to build a toned, fit body by working out and perhaps adding protein supplements to your diet.

So to summarize, the best way to lose fat fast is through a combination of diet and exercise.
